100% natural and SMETA verified, our Vina Charcoal is easy to light, creates very little smoke and can sustain your cook for over 4-5hrs. Unlike more traditional lumpwood charcoal our Vina Charcoal creates very little 'flare up' and won't taint your ingredients with a bitter smokey overtone.

Our Binchotan Charcoal is sustainably produced in Vietnam. The factory, just outside Hanoi, is SMETA verified for it's social responsibilities and Labor Standards. They Offset negative environmental impact by planting tree's and regularly donate funds to local charities.

White Binchotan

Made from the hardwood Ubame tree (as used in the famous Kishu Binchotan) the white charcoal will last for an extended 7-8hrs when used alongside the Original Konro grill which can be found on our sister site Chefslocker.

Due to the density of the briquettes it is a little harder to light but with practice and following our simple guide you are good to go in 20-30 mins. The result is a glowing white briquette with almost no ash, no odour, very little flair up, minimal smoke and a consistent temperature. In trials using the Original Konro grill we have recorded an incredible temperature of almost 1000c degrees.

Bamboo Charcoal
